Was Jesus born 'according to the flesh'?
Certain Biblical scholars, like James McGrath, proof-text Paul saying Jesus was born.
Anybody can produce proof-texts....
Here is a 'proof' that Jesus was not born 'according to the flsh'.
Galatians 4 ‘Now you, brothers and sisters, like Isaac, are children of promise. At that time the son born according to the flesh persecuted the son born by the power of the Spirit. ‘

You fail to understand the passage and employ a fundamentalist understanding. When he says born by the power of the Spirit, he means brought into existence (in physical form) by the Spirit - the Spirit's power is what caused the Virgin Birth and Conception, which Paul is not disputing here. If anything, he's supporting it.
